SJ has commissioned Euromaint to service the rolling stock that travels between Sala and Linköping. The maintenance will be carried out at Euromaint’s workshop in Linköping. The agreement will be extended annually for up to four years.

Euromaint and SJ have signed a maintenance agreement for the relevant fleet, i.e. those trains travelling on the following route: Sala – Västerås – Eskilstuna – Norrköping – Linköping. The contract is for 11 vehicles: four Regina trains and seven X12 trains.

The contract covers both preventive and remedial light maintenance, including material supply service, and runs from 15 December this year. The maintenance will be carried out at Euromaint’s workshop in Linköping, which will be open practically 24 hours a day. This fits in well with the maintenance required for trains operating this service. The workshop has for some time possessed the expertise required to maintain these types of rolling stock.

“We’re pleased that SJ is showing its confidence by allowing us to service this particular fleet. Here at the workshop in Linköping we have a great deal of experience of working on the rolling stock concerned. By planning and carrying out the maintenance efficiently, our ambition is to deliver complete, clean and safe trains on time and thus make a contribution to a punctual service,” says Marcus Bylund, Linköping Workshop Manager at Euromaint Rail.

“We see many benefits in placing the maintenance work with Euromaint’s workshop in Linköping. They have extensive experience of the types of rolling stock involved and expertise on site for the majority of any 24-hour period. The workshop also has a good management structure and works actively to develop and improve operations,” says Tomas Steiner, Purchaser at SJ, with Johan Rydén, Contracts Manager at SJ, agreeing with this statement.
