EuroMaint Rail has signed two contracts with Jernbaneverket Bane Energi concerning the overhaul and inspection of its converters.

"In a short space of time, EuroMaint Rail has signed a number of strategic agreements with infrastructure providers in Sweden and Norway. The contracts with Jernbaneverket, plus similar commissions for Banverket, mean that EuroMaint Rail has positioned itself as a key supplier of complete solutions for the maintenance and development of converters for the rail transport industry," says Mats Önner, CEO of EuroMaint Rail.

The overhaul on behalf of Jernbaneverket is extensive and involves, besides the customary maintenance tasks, equipping voltage converters with new monitoring equipment and new brushless magnetising equipment. Moreover, EuroMaint Rail has been assigned to undertake on site inspections at Jernbaneverket's converter stations in Norway over the next 2-3 years. The resulting status assessments will form the basis for maintenance plans for the equipment.

The overhaul of the converters will be carried out at EuroMaint Rail's component workshop in Åmål. The commission begins in September 2009 and finishes at the start of 2010.
