EuroMaint Rail has signed a strategic partnership contract with Oslo-based maintenance company Daimex. The aim is to strengthen each company’s competitiveness on the Norwegian market for maintenance of rolling stock and associated components.
Norway is investing heavily in an improved rail infrastructure with projects worth NOK 9 billion per year expected to continue until 2019. At the same time, the Norwegian rail market will be deregulated and the existing suppliers will be exposed to competition. Increased demand and deregulation involves huge opportunities for new, international players.
“Our experience is that geographical expansion is facilitated by local support and good knowledge of the local market. A strategic partnership with Daimex means that EuroMaint Rail can establish a local sales channel for maintenance services, while together we can improve and expand our respective offers for the Norwegian market,” comments Mats Önner, CEO of EuroMaint Rail.
The partnership means that Daimex will market EuroMaint Rail’s services and products to the Norwegian market. The partnership will cover maintenance of all types of rolling stock, component servicing and spare parts sales.
