Volvo Cars is looking to modernise its engine testing equipment in order to satisfy future engine production requirements. EuroMaint Industry has been commissioned to develop a modern prototype that is capable of meeting the new demands.
The prototype is based on existing engine testing equipment that is set to receive a technical upgrade. The equipment is also being rebuilt to enable it to be used to test a wider range of engines. These measures will extend the service life of the equipment significantly.
EuroMaint Industry has, on previous occasions, supplied services and production equipment for engine testing to factories in Sweden and internationally.
"We are pleased to have been given the opportunity to carry out this assignment and to contribute to a more modern and flexible engine testing solution," says Patrik Sahlberg, Business Area Manager at EuroMaint Industry.
The prototype, which is being developed at EuroMaint Industry in Skövde, will be delivered in August 2011.
