EuroMaint Industry’s newly-acquired subsidiary EISAB Energi och industriservice is manufacturing, fitting and insulating the pipe system at the pellet factory that Stora Enso Kopparfors is building in Norrsundet.
“The deal is strategically important and early proof that we have added valuable expertise that makes our customer offer for the pulp and paper industry more attractive,” comments Nicklas Falk, CEO of EuroMaint Industry.
Since the closure of the pulp mill in Norrsundet in 2008, the most important question for Kopparfors sawmill has been how to safeguard the energy supply for effective drying of timber, as the shared bark furnace used was too large for the sawmill alone. Thanks to the new pellet factory, the necessary capacity can be achieved. The energy supply to the sawmill is safeguarded, while the wood chips from Kopparfors sawmill can be used in the production of biofuel at the new pellet factory.
“The new pellet factory is an exciting project in which the sawmill and pellet factory can benefit from one another. We are pleased that EuroMaint Industry, via both its existing office in Gävle and the newly-acquired EISAB, has quickly been able to offer the expertise we required,” explains Rolf Lundberg, Project Manager at Stora Enso Kopparfors.
Since 24 June this year, EISAB Energi och industriservice AB has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of EuroMaint Industry. As a result of the acquisition, EuroMaint Industry has gained solid expertise and experience within installation, repair and maintenance of waste incineration plants and other combined power and heating plants.
“EISAB’s know-how within the power and energy sector has now been added to EuroMaint Industry’s experience of production streamlining and technical maintenance within other industrial fields. The assignment for Stora Enso Kopparfors is an excellent example of this,” concludes Nicklas Falk.
